As we saw yesterday, the solution is to print more money. While I'll be able to use that $1200 rebate to help pay my taxes this year, the reality is, we're financing the war, the rebate, and pretty much evertything else on credit.

Interestingly, I saw somewhere yesterday that the personal credit debt is considerably higher than the national debt. That might be a bigger worry in the long run.

As we're going to see in the coming months, the War will go to the background as the economy takes center stage.

Interesting clip showing the cost of the war. History will show whether the conflict will be a success for the west, but I have my doubts it will be worth the money and lives. Personally, I would like to see the west place more emphasis on military for defence purposes, which lacks here in Canada, and it would be better to spend more time and money on vital financial and social issues than on preventive war strategies.
